Una fiera, una mostra, una libreria? Tutto questo può succedere, quando pratiche diverse si incontrano e si mescolano, come dimostrano le immagini che Zak Kyes ci ha gentilmente inviato.
L’occasione è stata la NY Art Book Fair, nella sede del MoMA PS1 (5-6 novembre 2010), dove Bedford Press – la casa editrice avviata nel 2008 dall’Architectural Association (AA) di Londra – non solo ha presentato i suoi libri e le pubblicazioni di altri editori, ma ha anche organizzato un progetto speciale, ovvero la mostra The Information Economy (L’economia dell’informazione), curata da Kyes, in collaborazione con l’artista Joseph Grigely.
Durante la fiera, inoltre, Bedford Press ha presentato la seconda edizione del libro di Grigely, Exhibition Prosthetics, un’opera che riflette proprio sulle pratiche espositive e di rappresentazione.

A fair, an exhibition, a bookshop? All of this can happen, when different practices meet and mix, as images that Zak Kyes has kindly sent us show. The occasion is the NY Art Book Fair, at MoMA PS1 (November 5-6, 2010), where Bedford Press – the imprint started in 2008 by the Architectural Association (AA), London – participated, not just presenting its books and publications from other publishers but also curating a special project, that is the exhibition “The Information Economy” curated by Zak Kyes, in collaboration with the artist Joseph Grigely. The Fair has also been the occasion for Bedford Press to launch the second edition of Grigely’s book Exhibition Prosthetics, a work that also reflects on exhibition and representation practices.
