Intervista a Elliott Earls
«Spesso mi sento dire che quello che faccio non è design. Francamente, credo che questo sia un atto d’accusa del nostro tempo, non del mio lavoro.»
Graphic designer, performance artist e musicista, Elliott Earls è una figura difficile da collocare entro definizioni univoche, in movimento come è fra media differenti e soprattutto costantemente impegnato a seguire ed esprimere la propria visione del mondo, della vita.
Dal 2001 è designer-in-residence e direttore del 2D Design Department alla Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan (USA), dove si è laureato nel 1993.
In questa intervista Earls risponde alle nostre domande sul graphic design, regalandoci anche uno sguardo privilegiato sul suo ambiente di lavoro e ricerca.

Graphic designer, performance artist and musician: it is difficult to position Elliott Earls within this or that univocal definition, as long as his work between different media and, above all, he is constantly striving to follow and express his own vision of the world, of life. Since 2001, he is Designer in Residence and head of the 2D Design Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan (USA), where he graduated in 1993.
